Item Description & Condition Details.
The August 15, 1945 edition of the
Times Picayune
(New Orleans) with news of Japans surrender which heralded the end of World War II.  The following condition issues were noted:  moderate toning, chipping along the the left, top, and right edges, a tear at the mid fold left side, small tears along the mid fold line, areas of foxing shown in the listing photos.  The newspaper is somewhat delicate and must be handled with care, no attempt was made to open the mid fold or peek at any of the other pages to minimize damage.
